The Jerusalem Bible Reader's Edition is a reissued edition of The Jerusalem Bible, an English-language Catholic Bible bound in multi-colored cloth. Its text is the English version of the French La Bible de Jérusalem, a translation of the complete canon of Scripture made by biblical scholars of L'École Biblique in Jerusalem using original-language sources such as the Dead Sea Scrolls. The English edition was edited by Alexander Jones, and the work comes from the period of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965). It is for readers who want an English Bible translated from this French original.

Use & care: Suited to personal reading and prayer, and to Scripture study groups. Keep the cloth cover dry and away from direct heat and sunlight, and store the Bible flat.
