Biblia de America - 610/19BLUS

La Biblia de América is a complete Catholic Bible in Spanish, translated from the original texts by a team of more than 40 Scripture scholars from La Casa de la Biblia. It is approved by the Episcopal Conference of Mexico and authorized by the Episcopal Conferences of Colombia and Chile. It includes book introductions, notes, maps, parallel timelines, a Bible dictionary, a family record, and full-color inserts on the Rosary and the Stations of the Cross, bound in a blue Dura-Lux cover. Prepared with a pastoral focus, it is suited to Spanish-speaking laypeople, religious, and priests for personal reading, family prayer, catechesis, and parish ministry.

This Spanish-language Catholic Bible (Biblia católica en español) is designed for everyday use as well as study. The introductions and notes explain each book's background and meaning. The parallel timelines set the events of biblical history alongside civil history and the world of literature, so readers can see what was happening in the wider world at each stage of the biblical story. The Bible dictionary defines key names, places, and terms. The family record has space for baptisms, marriages, and other milestones. The full-color Rosary and Stations of the Cross inserts support two of the most familiar Catholic devotions. At 5¾ by 8¼ inches with 2,000 pages, it is sized to be held comfortably for reading at home or in church.

Use & care: Suited to daily Scripture reading, family prayer, praying the Rosary and the Stations of the Cross, and Spanish-language catechesis and parish ministry. Wipe the cover with a soft, dry cloth and store the Bible away from heat and direct sunlight.
