Douay-Rheims Bible (Burgundy Premium UltraSoft) - 9781935302025

The Douay-Rheims Bible in Burgundy Premium UltraSoft is a complete Catholic Bible in the Douay-Rheims translation of the Latin Vulgate, as revised by Bishop Richard Challoner. It has a soft burgundy cover and gold page edges, and it comes in a presentation box. Alongside the Old and New Testaments, it includes annotations and references, a historical and chronological index, a calendar of Scripture readings, favorite Catholic prayers, full-color New Testament maps, pictures of the life of Christ, and family record and presentation pages. It is suited to Catholics who want the traditional Douay-Rheims text for daily prayer, lectio divina, and family devotion, and it makes a keepsake gift.

The Douay-Rheims was translated between 1582 and 1610 and later revised by Bishop Challoner, who made the text easier to read. This edition is built for both prayer and reference. The calendar of Scripture readings and the Catholic prayers support a daily routine. The annotations, references, and chronological index help with study. The family record pages let you keep sacraments and milestones with the family Bible. A ribbon marker holds your place, and the presentation box makes it ready to give for a wedding, Confirmation, or other occasion.

Use & care: Suited to daily prayer and lectio divina, family devotions, and recording family milestones, with the presentation box keeping it protected between uses. Wipe the soft cover with a dry cloth and store the Bible away from heat and direct sunlight.
