CD Rosary of Guadalupe

Join Dana and Msgr. Chávez as they present the first Rosary of Guadalupe, a beautiful rosary incorporating the powerful and timeless message of Our Lady of Guadalupe, with music and spoken meditations. On December 9, 1531, Juan Diego was on his way to Tlatelolco to attend catechism when the Mother of God appeared to him.  She asked him to be her messenger so that a sacred little house could be built in the valley of  Tepeyac where she could offer all her love in the form of her son, Jesus Christ. Upon hearing this, the bishop asked for a sign. The Virgin asked Juan Diego to go to the top of the hill of Tepeyac where he would find beautiful flowers to cut and put in his tilma, or cloak.  As she said, on that dry and rocky hilltop he found the most beautiful flowers. The virgin arranged each one of the flowers in the Indian’s tilma and sent him straight to Mexico City to the bishop. When Juan Diego opened his tilma with the flowers, the beautiful image of Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared on it.  This miraculous tilma still hangs in the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City, 478 years later. - Msgr. Eduardo Chávez, The Woman Who Changed the Face of a Continent Monsignor Eduardo Chávez was appointed postulator for the cause of the canonization of St. Juan Diego and is recognized as  the world’s foremost authority on the Miracle of Guadalupe.  Msgr.
