<p>Each beautifully designed medal is stamped in heavy gauge bronze and finished in a heavy silver plating that is thick enough to be engraved. The medals are rubbed with a soft patina to give them the distinct 'Py look.'</p> <p>Born in Nanterre France around 419/422</p> <p>Died in Paris France around 502/512</p> <p>Feast Day January 3 (Patron of Paris)</p> <p>Venerated in Eastern Orthodox &amp; Roman Catholic Church</p> <p>One day Germanus (Saint Germain of Auxerre) came to Nanterre, and Genevieve confided in him that she wanted to live only for God. He encouraged her and at the age of fifteen, Genevieve became a nun.</p> <p>The life of St. Genevieve was one of great austerity, constant prayer, and works of charity. She constantly did works of charity in feeding the poor, and caring for the sick.She is often pictured with a loaf of bread to commemorate her charitable giving.</p> <p>She is credited for saving Paris from attack by Atilla de Hun. She convinced the people not to evacuate the city by pray for deliverance from The Awesome Atilla by fasting and praying and assuring them the protection from heaven that she received from God in one of her many visions.
